Section 22, The Prevention and Control of Hiv and Aids Act, 2007

(1) The Ministry shall establish a department which shallbe responsible for monitoring HIV to determine the magnitude and progression of HIV infection in Sierra Leone and for this purpose, of evaluating the adequacy and efficacy of the counter-measures being employed to combat the spread of HIV.
