(1) All donated blood shall, as soon as practicable afterdonation, be subjected to two HIV tests with an interval of a minimum
of 6 weeks between the tests.
(2) Any blood tested under subsection (1) which is found
to be HIV positive shall be disposed of in accordance with the
prescribed guidelines on the disposal of medical waste as soon as
reasonably practical .
