Section 92, The Mines and Minerals Act, 2009

The Director may revoke an artisanal mining licence if he issatisfied in respect of the licence that– (a) the holder of the licence, including any member of a cooperative or a partnership or a shareholder of a body corporate, is not a Sierra Leone citizen; or (b) no mining operations have commenced within a period of one hundred and eighty calendar days from the date of registration or renewal of the licence.
