Section 12, The Payment Systems Act, 2009

(1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in anyenactment relating to the retention of records, all records created during the course of operation and administration of a Central Bank system or a designated system shall be retained for a minimum period of six years from the date of each particular record. (2) For the avoidance of doubt, records may be kept in any form including microfilm and electronic form.
