Section 73, The Goods and Services Tax Act, 2009

(1) A person who is required to apply for registrationunder subsection (1), (4) or (5) of section 15 or section 55 and does
not do so commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not
exceeding Le 5,000,000 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding
one year or to both the fine and imprisonment.
