[10th April, 2003] E NACTED by the President and Members of Parliament in this present Parliament assembled. ACT Supplement to the Sierra Leone Gazette Vol. CXXXIV, No. 16 dated 10th April, 2003 Date of Commencement. Section 83 of the Armed Forces of the Republic Sierra Leone Act, 1961 is amended by the substitution for subsection (1) thereof of the following:– “(1) The following persons may act as appropriate superior authority in relation to a person charged with an offence, that is to say, the Chief of Defence Staff and any officer of the rank of colonel or above or officer of corresponding rank under whose command the person is for the time being.”.
