Section 56, Environment Protection Agency Act, 2008

No person acting in pursuance of the functions conferredon him by this Act shall be subject to any civil or criminal liability in
respect of that act, whether on the grounds of want of jurisdiction,
mistake of law or fact or any other ground, unless he acted in bad
faith and without reasonable cause.
