(1) Not later than twenty-four hours before using a slaughter house, a butcher shall notify the Inspector of Markets of the number and description of animals he intends to slaughter. [Margin: Description and number of animals to be notified.]
(2) No animal shall be slaughtered unless subparagraph (1) has been complied with.
