Section 28, Weights and Measures Act, 2010

Where any weight, measure or instrument for weighing ormeasuring is found in the possession of any person carrying on trade or industry, or in or upon the premises of any person, whether in a building or in the open air, and whether open or enclosed, are used for trade or industry, that person shall be deemed for the purposes of this Act, unless the contrary is proved, to have that weight, measure or instrument for weighing or measuring in his possession for use in trade or industry.
