Section 49, The Road Transport Corporation Act, 1964

Subject to the provisions of this Act or any contract, Liability asthe Corporation shall not be liable for the loss, misdelivery or Warenousedetention of or damage to, goods (b) accepted by the Corporation for carriage, where suchloss, misdelivery, detention or damage occurs otherwise than during carriage : man, A 140 No. 17 Penalty for frauds. except where such loss, misdelivery, detention Of damage is caused by want of reasonable foresight and care on the part of Corporation or any of its servants: Provided that the Corporation shall in no case be liahla for such loss, misdelivery, detention or damage arising from anv of the circumstances as set out in paragraphs (a) to () of suh. sction (1) of section 46. PART XII--OFFENCES Penalty for S0. 1f any person shall wilfully hinder or obstruct, or casea obstructing or procure to be hindered or obstructed, any servant of the Cor. Corporationofficials. poration employed in doing anything authorised by this Act to be done, or in the exercise of any of the powers of authorities in this Act contained, he shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction thereof to a fine not exceeding ffty pounds or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three monthe or to both such fine and such imprisonment.
