Section 18, The Employment Act, 2023

(1) An employer shall pay equal remuneration for menand women workers for work of equal value and for that purpose, an employer shall conduct a job evaluation to ensure that the principle of equal remuneration for men and women workers for work of equal value is applied. (2) An employer who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and on conviction, is liable to a fine not less than 12 months national minimum wage. 18 19 Forced labour prohibited.
