Section 35, The Employment Act, 2023

(1) For the purpose of this Act, fixed term contract ofemployment or service shall be a contract of employment between an employer and a worker for a specific period. (2) A fixed-term contract of employment or service below 6 months shall be renewed once only. (3) A fixed-term contract worker who have served the same employer continuously for a period of 12 months or more shall be entitled to all accrued benefits as provided by relevant trade group agreement or other better terms.
