Section 50, The Employment Act, 2023

(1) A person who qualifies for the national minimum wageshall be paid a wage by his employer in respect of his work in any pay reference period at a rate which is not less than the national minimum (2) A person shall qualify for the national minimum wage if he is - (a) a worker; (b) is working, or ordinarily works, in Sierra Leone under a contract of employment made orally or in writing.. (3) For the purposes of subsection (1), a “pay reference period” is such period as may be prescribed for the purpose.
