Section 47, Act, 2002 (Act No 12 0f 2002);

(1) Any person who trespasses on a catchment area oron any enclosed land appropriated or used for waterworks commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding Le 50,000,000.00 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or to both the fine and imprisonment. (2) No person shall, without the consent of the Company fasten any animal to any structure or apparatus of the Company. (3) No person having custody or control of an animal shall allow any animal to wander on any pipe track or waterworks. (4) Any person who contravenes subsection (2) or (3) commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding Le 3,000, 000.00 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or to both the fine and imprisonment.
