Section 10, Academy Act , 2017

(1) The object for which the Academy is established is toteach, conduct research and serve as an examining body for persons enrolled in the Academy. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), the Academy shall perform the following functions- (a) provide instruction in branches of learning as it may think fit; (b) provide for the conduct of research and the advancement and dissemination of knowledge; (c) provide external or extension services for persons who are not regularly enrolled in the (d) grant certificates, diplomas and other awards as the Academy may determine; and (e) undertake acts which are geared towards the attainment of the object stated in subsection (1).
