Section 69, The Public Elections Act, 2012

(1) In conducting an election under this Act, the Chairmanof the Electoral Commission shall be the National Returning Officer. (2) The Electoral Commission shall appoint– (a) four other Returning Officers to be known as Regional Returning Officers for each of the four electoral regions into which Sierra Leone is divided; (b) fourteen District Returning Officers; and (c) such number of Assistant Returning Officers as may be required.
