Section 2, The Industrial Relations and Trade Union Act, 2024

(1) This Act shall apply to all employees in the Republicof Sierra Leone, except the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, the Sierra Leone Police and the Sierra Leone Correctional Service. (2) In the event where there is conflict or inconsistency between this Act and that of any other law relating to industrial relations, this Act shall prevail. (3) The Minister may, after consultation with the Joint Consultative Committee, by statutory instrument, - Application of Act. No. 6 The Industrial Relations and Trade Union Act 2024 No. 6 The Industrial Relations and Trade Union Act 2024 (a) exempt a person or class of persons, trade, industry or undertaking whose terms and conditions of employment are governed by special arrangements from the application of all or any of the provisions of this Act or regulations made under it; (b) extend the application of this Act to any category of persons excluded under subsection (1).
