Section 54, The Industrial Relations and Trade Union Act, 2024

(1) A trade union or any member thereof shall not performtrade union activities in furtherance of the purposes for which it has been formed unless such Union has first been registered. (2) A trade union or an officer or member of a trade union who contravenes subsection (1), commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of not less than 24 months national minimum wage.
