Section 53, The Criminal Procedure Act, 2024

Where it appears to the Court that a charge is malicious,frivolous or vexatious, the Court may order the complainant to pay all
or any specified part of the expenses of the prosecution or of the
defence but such sum shall not exceed the maximum fine that the
Court is empowered to impose.
