Section 59, The Criminal Procedure Act, 2024

If the statement taken in writing under section 58 relates oris expected to relate to an offence for which a person is under a charge or committal for trial, reasonable notice of the intention to take the statement shall be served upon the prosecutor and defendant, and if the defendant is in custody, he shall be brought by the person in whose charge he is, under an order in writing of the Court, to the place where the statement is to be taken.
