Section 6, The Criminal Procedure Act, 2024

Where a Police officer or person, acting under a warrantof arrest or having authority to arrest, has reason to believe that the person to be arrested has entered into or is within a place, the person residing in or being in charge of the place shall, on demand of the Police Officer or person acting, allow him free entry into the place and afford all reasonable facilities for search of the place.
