Section 7, The Criminal Procedure Act, 2024

Where entry to a place cannot be effected under section 6,a Police Officer or person acting under a warrant of arrest or having authority to arrest, to enter that place, by force if necessary, search it and in order to effect entrance into that place, to break open any outer or inner door or window of any house or place, whether that of the person to be arrested or of any other person, if after notification of his authority and purpose, and demand of admittance made, he cannot otherwise obtain admittance.
