Section 11, The Polytechnics Act, 2001

(1) A polytechnic institution shall have a Vice-Principal who shall be appointed by the Council to assist the Principal and to perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Principal or the Council.
(2) The Vice-Principal shall hold office for an initial term of two years subject to renewal for another term of two years.
