Section 1: These Regulations shall apply to-

(a) any person who wishes to undertake or cause to be undertaken any extractive industries project, including mining, quarrying, extraction of sand, gravel, salt and peat set out in the paragraph (f) of the First Schedule of the Act, for which an application for an Environmental Impact Assessment Licence is required under section 24; (b) body corporates and individuals applying for or issued minerals rights under the Mines and Minerals Act 2009.
