Section 29, 62 of the Environmental Protection Act, 2008, the Board hereby makes

(1) Acceptable forms of financial assurance include asurety bond, a trust fund with pay-in period, an insurance policy, a cash deposit or annuities, or any combination of these in the manner specified in the Sixteenth Schedule and in accordance with subsection (4) of section 136 of the Mines and Minerals Act 2009, 38 39 Annual Report Annual Social Report and Social Performance Monitoring Financial assurance. Forms of Assurance Updating Enviromental Management Plan and social Impact Management Plan (2) The financial assurance mechanism to be used for any specific project shall comply with the standards contained in the Sixteenth Schedule.
