Section 7, 62 of the Environmental Protection Act, 2008, the Board hereby makes

(1) Pursuant to paragraph (j) of section 57 of the Minesand Minerals Act 2009, an applicant for a reconnaissance licence who confirms in writing that his operations will have no adverse effects on the environment, local communities, any monument or relic in the proposed reconnaissance area, shall be exempted from applying for an environmental licence. (2) A confirmation in writing under sub-regulation (1) shall be made under oath and in accordance with the Statutory Declaration Act, 1835.
