Section 124, The Road Traffic Act, 2007

A person who tampers with a motor vehicle with the intentof causing the mal-functioning of the brake or other part of its
mechanism commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction
to a fine not exceeding Le100,000 or to a term of imprisonment not
exceeding 6 months or to both.
