Section 31, The National Fertilizer Regulations, 2020.

(1) A manufacturer, importer or distributor of fertilizer shallnot distribute or offer for sale misbranded fertilizer . (2) For the purpose of these regulations, a fertilizer is misbranded if - (a) its label is false or misleading; (b) it is distributed under the name of another fertilizer product; or (c) it is not labeled as prescribed by these Regulations. (3) A manufacturer, importer or distributor of fertilizer who distributes or offers for sale misbranded fertilizer, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding Le20, 000, 000. 00 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 12 months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
