Section 21, Civil Aviation Act, 2017 for an effective aviation safety and security

(1) The Director-General may grant exemptions from therequirements of observing any rule set forth in this Act or in its aviation safety and security regulations if the Director-General finds such action would be in the public interest. (2) The Director-General shall issue regulations governing the application for and approval of exemptions. (3) The Director-General shall publish any exemption actions taken as appropriate. (4) Except as provided in subsections (1), (2) and (3), the Director-General shall not grant exemptions from the requirements of this Act. PART IV - ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS
