Section 22, Civil Aviation Act, 2017 for an effective aviation safety and security

(1) The Authority shall have a Director-General who shallbe ofappointed by the President, on the recommendation of the Minister, subject to the approval of Parliament. (2) A person shall not be qualified for appointment as Director- General under subsection (1), unless he has considerable knowledge and experience in aviation, administration, industry or engineering and has such other qualifications and proven ability in other fields as may be relevant for the functions of the authority.
