Section 30, Civil Aviation Act, 2017 for an effective aviation safety and security

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law,no suit shall lie against the Authority, Board members, Director- General or any other employee of the Authority, in the execution of any public duty under this Act or any law or in respect of any alleged negligence or default in execution of any public duty under this Act or such law, unless it is commenced within 1 year next after the act, negligence, or default complained of, or in the case of continuance of damage or injury, within 1 year after the ceasing thereof. (2) No suit shall be commenced against the Authority, Boardmembers, Director-General or staff of the Authority before the expiration of a period of 1 month after written notice of intention to 34 35 commence the suit shall have been served upon the Authority by the intending plaintiff or his agent; and the notice shall clearly and explicitly state the cause of action, the particulars of the claim, the name and place of abode of the plaintiff and the relief sought.
