Section 32, The National Commission for Privatisation Act, 2002

(1) Until the Commission is in a position to assume its functions and responsibilities under this Act, the Public Enterprises Unit of the Ministry of Finance shall, under the direction of the Minister, co-ordinate the conclusions of ongoing divestiture arrangements, collect the proceeds of sale from divested public enterprises for payment into the Consolidated Fund and continue to monitor the financial performance of the public enterprises remaining in the First Schedule. (2) The date of assumption by the Commission of its functions and responsibilities under this Act shall be fixed by notice made in a statutory instrument by the Commission.
