Section 159: A permit authorising the holder thereof to enter a

Customs area or specified pa:r;t thereof during one day only shall be surrendered to the proper officer by the holder on his leaving the area unless such officer is satisfied that the holder must return to the said area during the same day, in which case the officer aforesaid may give specific instructions that the permit need not at that stage be delivered up, in which case it shall be delivered up to the proper officer on the holder thereof again leaving the said area or before noon on the following day if he does not return as anticipated.
