Section 4, The Medical Examiners Act, 2021

(1) The Chief Medical Examiner shall hold office for aterm of 4 years and shall be eligible for reappointment for a further
term of 4 years.
(2) The Chief Medical Examiner may resign his office by
written notice to the President and may be removed from office only
for his inability to perform the functions of his office, whether arising
from infirmity of body or mind, or for proven misconduct.
