Section 5, Sierra Leone Seed Certification Agency Regulations, 2018.

(1) Certification issued or quality declared by the Agencyshall be valid for – Prescribed Seed certification. Quality declaration. Validity of certification and quality declaration. 4 5 (a) a period of 9 months in the case of cereals, pulses declaration. and oil crops; (b) a period of 12 months from the date of completion of seed testing in the case of vegetables; (c) a period of 3 months in the case of cassava if the seed crop is still in the field and not exceeding 2 years from the date of planting after first rationing (d) a period not exceeding 2 months from the date of planting and 2 months from the date of the previous harvest for rationed crop in the case of sweet potato if the seed is still in the field . (2) Harvested cassava and sweet potato planting materials shall not be revalidated.
