Section 25, Environment Protection Agency Act, 2008

(1) The Agency shall, within fourteen days of receivingan application decide whether an environmental impact assessment is required of the project. (2) The matters set out in the Second Schedule shall be taken into consideration when a decision is being taken as to whether an environmental impact assessment is required in respect of any project. (3) Where a decision has been taken that an environmental impact assessment is not required in respect of any project the Executive Director shall, in writing inform the applicant accordingly.
