Section 46, The Arbitration Act, 2022

(1) The parties to an arbitral proceeding shall do all thingsnecessary for the proper and expeditious conduct of the arbitral proceeding. (2) Notwithstanding the generality of subsection (1), the parties to an arbitral proceeding shall - (a) comply, without delay, with a determination of the arbitral tribunal on procedural or evidential matters or with an order or direction of the arbitral tribunal; (b) where appropriate, take without delay, necessary steps to obtain a decision of the Court on a preliminary question of jurisdiction or law as provided in this Act; or (c) ensure that the arbitral proceedings are conducted without incurring unnecessary expense.
