Section 113, The Local Government Act, 2004

The title to all lands acquired or leased by a local councilshall be taken in the corporate name of the council, and all deeds and contracts requiring to be executed by the council shall be executed in the corporate name of the council and shall be signed and sealed with the common seal by the Chairperson and shall also be signed by the Secretary to the council.
