Section 53, The Public Elections Act, 2012

The Returning Officer shall, after declaring the result of apresidential election– (a) subject to paragraph (e) and (f) of subsection (2) of section 42 of the Constitution, issue to the successful candidate a certificate of election in the form prescribed in the Fifth Schedule; and (b) as soon as possible, cause the result of the election to be published by Government Notice and in any other manner that the Returning Officer may think fit.
