Section 70, Cap 196

(1) No person shall purchase any mineral unless he isthe holder of a licence granted under the next succeeding section. (2) Any person contravening the provisions of this section shall be liable- (a) on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding one hundred pounds or to imprisonment with or without hard labour, for a period not exceeding twelve months; (b) on conviction before the Supreme Court, to a :fine not exceeding three hundred pounds or to imprisonment, with or without hard labour, for a period not exceeding three years.
